Gas Exchange Systems for Research

Qubit offers a range of gas exchange systems for the researcher interested in measuring in vivo nitrogenase activity. Based around the S121 H2 sensor, these gas exchange systems are available in single and multi-channel configurations. Customized software is used for data acquisition and control. N2 fixation rate, total nitrogenase activity, apparent nitrogenase activity and electron allocation coefficient are all measured and recorded automatically.

Qubit Systems produces the only complete experimental package for the measurement of nitrogen fixation in undergraduate laboratories. The NF1LP laboratory package allows students to measure relative rates of N2 fixation and nitrogenase activity using the S121 H2 sensor. It includes all hardware, software, biological material and teaching aids required to conduct investigations into the physiology of N2 fixation in undergraduate laboratory courses.
