Automated Multichannel Gas Exchange System
Qubit Systems' multichannel
gas exchange systems allow the researcher to make sequential gas
exchange measurements from several sample chambers housing biological
material. The chamber sequence, and the measuring period for each
chamber is chosen in software. Channel numbers are available in
multiples of four (4, 8, 12 etc). One channel is used for periodic
checking of the reference gas, so that analyzer baselines can be
monitored and data corrected for any drift.

Testimonial:
When
purchasing a new gas exchange system for research purposes,
I took a chance with Qubit systems; they claimed to produce
a competitive system at almost half the price of those of
more established companies. I am happy to say that I am entirely
happy with my decision. I now have a reliable and versatile
system that is just as accurate as the more expensive competition
and, because it is modular, can be expanded as my needs evolve.
Most importantly, I received outstanding service during all
phases of purchase: conception, ordering, installation and
continuing help.

Features include
the following:
- A wide range of gas analyzers
are available for CO2, O2,
CH4, N2O, CO, H2,
etc. depending on system application
- Analyzers available with different
ranges
- Calibration by simple calibration
protocols in software
- Flow rate measured independently
in each channel by a separate mass flow meter
- Different flow rates may be set
for different samples, if required
- Rates
of gas exchange are calculated automatically and displayed both
graphically and numerically in software

Data may be corrected automatically
for dilution effects when respiratory quotient or photosynthetic quotient
differs from 1.0. Both raw and corrected data are available for display and
download as comma delimited files to Excel etc.
