Plant & Soil Biology

Photosynthesis and Transpiration

A wide range of products for measuring photosynthetic CO2 fixation and O2 production in both the gas and liquid phases. Fully integrated gas exchange systems with data acquisition to PC, MAC or Palm. See the world's most sensitive differential O2 analyzer with +/- 1 ppm O2 resolution against air, capable of measuring open flow photosynthetic production.

Plant Respiration

Measure CO2 production and O2 consumption in plant tissues in gas and aqueous phases. The DOX differential O2 analyzer, with +/-1 ppm O2 resolution against air, allows instantaneous measurements of RQ when used with our CO2 Analyzers.

Cholorophyll Fluorescence

From a simple, low cost PAM fluorometer system, to the world's most sophisticated chlorophyll fluorescence imaging system. Measurements can be made on individual leaves or up to 250 samples simultaneously.

Nitrogen Fixation

Instantaneous measurements of N2 fixation using H2 analysis. Non-invasive, non-inhibitory measurements that are more accurate and less expensive than the acetylene reduction assay. Measures N2 fixation rate, total nitrogenase activity and electron allocation coefficient.

FytoScope Growth Chambers

FytoScope Growth Chambers represent a remarkable combination of an LED-based growth chamber and a measuring device. In contrast to conventional growth chambers, they can program temperature, illumination and humidity, and have many additional interesting and useful features. Sizes available from 60 - 1300L, with options for full chlorophyll fluorescence imaging.

Soil Biology

Measure CO2 production and O2 consumption in soil samples in the gas phase. Choose from a variety of systems incorporating CO2 and O2 Analyzers with +/-1 ppm resolution. Measure soil respiration, Biological Oxygen Demand in the lab or in the field in single or multiple channels.

Handheld Instruments

Qubit's new family of lightweight devices are convenient for quick, reliable and easily repeatable measurements in the field or in the laboratory. They may also serve as excellent tools for educational purposes. The FluorPen, AquaPen and GFPPen are handheld, fiber-optic fluorometers that are based on a modulated detection system. This system compensates for stray light and allows measurements to be made at ambient light. The PlantPen and NitrogenPen are reflectance-based devices.
