Swim
Tunnels
Swim tunnel respirometers
in unique design, developed through more than 10 years of research and
experience from labs around the world. For use in applications such as
measuring the oxygen consumption of swimming fish, exercise physiology
and biomechanics, and kinematics. A variety of sizes and shapes are available.

Aqueous
Phase Oxygen Regulation
Turn-key system for monitoring
and control of oxygen in aqueous phase systems for biological or chemical
investigations.
The system compares preset
oxygen saturation (or concentration) with measured values. For example
if the oxygen saturation is higher than the setpoint value, the relay
activates a solenoid valve to open for injection of compressed nitrogen.
The solenoid valve remains open until the setpoint is reached.

Water
Temperature Regulation
Turn-key system for monitoring
and regulating water temperature in fish tanks, aquaria, respirometers
etc.
The system compares preset
temperature with measured values. For example, if the temperature is higher
than the setpoint the relay activates a submersible pump to empty cold
water into the reservoir. The pump remains active until the setpoint is
reached.

Automated
Aquatic Respirometry
Systems for measuring oxygen
consumption rates of aquatic organisms, i.e. fish or BOD, and at the same
time controlling experimental pumps, water temperature and oxygen saturation
automatically. The systems includes user-friendly Windows software and
USB instrument for an easy and effortless approach to intermittent flow
respirometry.

|
Aquatic
Respirometers
Qubit's custom sized
acrylic respirometer chambers for intermittent flow respirometry. Measure
oxygen consumption on aquatic breathers (e.g. fish) ranging in size from
a few grams and up to several kilograms. Each respirometer has 2 inlet
ports and 2 outlet ports for attaching to submersible pumps.

|
Polarographic
and Galvanic Electrodes
A variety of polarographic
electrodes (O2 and CO2), miniature
galvanic oxygen electrodes, flow through cuvettes and glass respirometer
chambers for measuring O2 concentration in aqueous
samples. Choose the electrode that best suits your application and use
our data acquisition systems or we can modify the electrode to fit with
your system!

|
Submersible
Pumps
The submersible pumps
are ideal for use in measurements of aquatic respirometry to provide water
flow through tubing and respirometers. The pumps can be used as either
flush pumps or as recirculating pumps and should be chosen based primarily
upon flow rate characteristics.

Video
Tracking Software
Qubit Systems has a
variety of Video Tracking Software packages available for recording and
analyzing objects in experimental designs. The DV1
Software allows the user to record and perform live tracking on single
objects in the viewing frame, based on contrast. The DV4
Software allows the user to record and perform live
tracking on 1, 2 or 4 objects in the viewing frame, based on contrast. The
DV5
software is a revolutionary new program designed to track more than 1
object at a time, even if the objects overlap. This software also includes
several calculations such as velocity, acceleration, distance traveled,
time in zones and time spent in motion. All software packages
include DEMO versions which are comparable to the full version but do
not allow to saving data.

AQUARESP
Aquatic Respirometry Package
The
Aquatic Respirometry Package measures changes in oxygen production, transpiration
or respiration in aquatic plants and animals. The package is a single
channel, open flow, intermittent respirometry system based
on a research-grade oxygen sensor and 15-bit data acquisition via USB.
The PC software provides accurate and stable measurements of oxygen production
or consumption rates every 3-5 minutes in a controlled environment.

OX1LP
Dissolved Oxygen Package
Qubit Systems's package
for measuring dissolved O2
has features included in no other polarographic O2
monitoring system. The O2
electrode within the water-jacketed cuvette may be used for measurements
of O2
consumption (or production) by biological samples or enzymatic reactions.
Various chamber volumes available from 0.2 mL to 50 mL.
